SYLVIA HENRY MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP FUND
The Umpqua Valley Winegrower's Association and Henry Estate Winery have established a scholarship fund in memory of Sylvia Henry. Sylvia co-founded Henry Estate Winery with her husband, Scott, and was a strong advocate of the Oregon wine industry. This fund is managed by the Oregon Community Foundation and an annual scholarship recipient is announced in June.
During the first few years, a $500 scholarship will be awarded, and as the endowment grows the scholarship awarded will increase, as interest accrues. The scholarship is awarded to a Douglas County high school graduate who intends to study enology, viticulture or some other wine industry related career. The scholarship may be used for tuition, fees and books while attending an Oregon Community College or University.

You can honor the memory of Sylvia Henry with a tribute that serves the students of Douglas County. A memorial gift to the Sylvia Henry Memorial Scholarship Fund will assist deserving students who are interested in pursuing a career in the grape growing of wine producing industries and are pursuing a postsecondary education at an educational institution in Oregon.
