Sylvia Henry lost her battle to cancer on November 1, 2003. She was an integral part of the winery's function and oversaw the fall harvest. She is greatly missed and will always be remembered. The Umpqua Valley Chapter of the Oregon Winegrower's Association has established a memorial scholarship fund in honor of Sylvia Henry.

SYLVIA HENRY MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP FUND
The Umpqua Valley Chapter of the Oregon Winegrower's Association has established a memorial scholarship fund in honor of Sylvia Henry. Sylvia co-founded Henry Estate Winery with her husband, Scott, and was a strong advocate of the Oregon wine industry. During the first few years, a $500 scholarship will be awarded, and as the endowment grows, the scholarship will increase as interest is accrued. The scholarship may be used for tuition, fees and books.
