Lakeside - May 11-13, 2012
If you’re tempted by lively music, delightful regional wines, Cajun style cooking, dancing, and Crawdads, mark your calendars and plan on being in the City of Lakeside, on May 11, 12, and 13.for the Fourth Annual Lakeside Crawdad Festival featuring hundreds of pounds of fresh Crawdads delivered straight from Louisiana and boiled up in an authentic Cajun style boil!

The calendar of events includes a
• Friday evening (6:30 p.m.) Crawdad eating contest Additional eating contests take place on Saturday (12:30 and 6:30 p.m.) and on Sunday at 12:30 p.m.
• Friday evening you can get your “mojo working” by dancing to live music with the Done Deal band from 5 - 8 p.m.
• Saturday, the festival will have multiple activities including
o More Cajun food
o A crawfish boil
o Wine and beer
o street fair with exciting and diverse food, art and craft vendors, car show, and live music throughout the day.
o The STEP program will offer children a chance to catch and then race live Crawfish on Saturday afternoon
from 1 – 2 p.m. Chicken Bingo, always a fun activity, will be held from 11 – 4 p.m.
o Enjoy a wide variety of Mississippi Delta, Chicago Style, Cajun, Contemporary blues and Classic Rock

• Sunday morning starts with a Lions Club Pancake Breakfast at Lion’s Hall from 8 a.m. to noon, where moms eat free to celebrate Mother’s Day. All others - $7.00.

Daily admission to the Crawdad Festival is FREE! Get hooked on Lakeside this Mother’s Day Weekend.

"EASTER IN THE UMPQUA" (An Old Fashion Easter)

SUNDAY APRIL 8TH 12 TO 4 (gates open 11am)
Dinner for purchase served noon to 4 pm (music by Moonglow)
Children music by Joe Ross 2 pm
Easter egg hunts: kids and grown-ups 3 to 4 pm
Homemade Toffee, Petting Zoo, Face Painting, Picnic Area,
Rain or Shine, Free Wine Tasting,

Admission: $5 per car.

The third annual Easter in the Umpqua, (an old fashion Easter) will include:
· Two egg hunts, one for kids and the other for grown-ups.
· A traditional Easter dinner along with a vegetarian selection. Music by Moonglow to serenade family while eating.
· Just before the egg hunt Joe Ross a very gifted Children music specialist will entertain the kids with music they will love!
· The entire day will be family focused with activities to shared together.
· The Easter Bunny will be there for hugs, hand out Candy and for photos.
· There will be a super cool petting zoo and face painting.
· The Toffee Lady will be there with yummy homemade Toffee!
· Free wine tasting.

Admission: only $5 per car load! Rain or shine event.

Newport Wine & Seafood Festival

Newport's 35th Annual Seafood & Wine Festival takes place on the picturesque Oregon Coast, which is slated for February 23rd through February 26th, 2012. This event will be held in a tented venue located near the Rouge Ales Brewery at the South Beach Marina in Newport. Artists and Craftsmen will show-case a variety of fine art, sculpture, photography, pottery, and jewelry. Pacific Northwest Wineries will be pouring the finest of wines and culinary professionals will serve cuisines of delectable delights sure to entice our palates.

Ticket prices do not include wine tasting. Food item prices range from $1 and up. Wine sampling starts at $1 and glasses of wine are available for menu price. Bottles and cases of wine are sold by wineries, too!

• The site is smoke free and handicapped accessible.

Located in Reedsport, this event is like no other on the Oregon Coast. At no other Oregon Coast festival will you find all of these elements brought together in one place. Hence the name: Confluence.

Situated between Florence and Coos Bay on the southern end of the Central Coast, this event will take place in Reedsport at the Community Center 451 Winchester Avenue. Bands from the Washington, Portland, Eugene, Coos Bay, Reedsport and Bandon areas will perform various genres of music throughout the weekend. Oregon wineries and microbreweries will offer tasting's and sales of their premium wines and micro-brewed beer.
